HOW TO CURE MOUTH SORES/ULCERS


Mouth ulcers occur in the mouth. It usually occur on the tongue, lips or gums. They are round, white or yellow in color surrounded by red color.  They  are very painful and the person having mouth ulcers found it very difficult to eat or drink anything , sometimes even in talking.


                              SYMPTOMS
  • A painful round, white colored sore in the mouth.
  • Problem in eating and drinking.
  • Unbearable pain due to salty or spicy food.
  • Swelling on the area near the sore.
  • Problem in opening mouth.
                                                CAUSES
1- It may be caused due to biting of tongue or cheek while eating.

2- Injury from toothbrush while brushing the teeth.

3- Poor dental hygiene.

4- Due to intake of lot of spicy or acidic food or nuts.

5- Lack of vitamin B12, iron, zinc.

6- Mental stress.

7- Constipation.

8- Due to burn by drinking hot tea, coffee, soup etc.

9- Due to first stop smoking.

10- Reaction from medicines, mouthwash etc.

    HOME REMEDIES TO CURE MOUTH ULCERS

  • Apply thick mulberry juice on ulcers 2-3 times a day.



  • Mix a pinch of turmeric powder with a sp of glycerin and apply it on the ulcers. It provides quick relief from mouth ulcers.



  • Chew 4-5 holy basil leaves (tulsi) and drink water. Repeat it 5-6 times a day.



  • Take 2-3 amlas (Indian gooseberry) and grind it to make a paste of it. Now mix ½ sp honey in it and apply it on the ulcers 2-3 times a day.



  • Take some coconut milk and mix it with honey. Massage it on the ulcers 2-3 times a day.


  • Take a sip of tomato juice and leave this juice in your mouth for a minute. Then gargle with it. Repeat it 4-5 times.



  •  Make a mixture of kaju mishri (sugar candy) and kapur (camphor) and apply it on ulcers.

  • Dip a cotton ball on peppermint oil and apply it on ulcers.


  • Chew a 1 inch pc of aloevera by cutting their harsh sides and swallow it with water. It is a very effective home remedy for mouth ulcers.



  • Take a cup of water and mix 1sp of coriander seeds and 5-6 leaves of tulsi (holy basil leaves). Now boil it to make it little warm. Then gargle with it 4-5 times a day.
                                    USEFUL TIPS

  • Brush very gently twice a day.
  • Avoid spicy food.
  • Avoid hot tea and coffee.
  • Gargle regularly after eating food.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Eat a proper balanced diet.
