HOW TO PREVENT YOURSELF FROM SUN BURN OR TANNING

Sun tanning or simply Tanning is the process where by skin color is darkened or tanned . Tanning occurs most often due to exposure to Ultra Violet (UV) radiations from the sun. Casual exposure to the sun has moderate beneficial impact , including the production of Vitamin D by the body , but excessive exposure to UV rays has detrimental health effect , including possible sunburn.




 10 Best Tips to protect Yourself from SUN BURN


1)- Try to stay out of sun during peak hours (11 am to 3 pm).


2)- Try to wear full sleeves clothes to avoid sun burn.



3)- Use umbrellas and floppy hats of light color to prevent yourself from Sunburn .


4)- Use sunscreen lotion when ever you go out in sun.


5)- Always wear Sunglasses with UV protection , to prevent eye damage that may led to Cataracts.


6)- Try to wear loose and light color clothes as much as possible .


7)-take a cool bath or shower.



8)- Drink plenty of fluids like Water and juice to prevent Dehydration. When you get sunburn your body is dehydrated and the best way to avoid dehydration is by consuming as much fluid as you can.




9)- Avoid Alcohol and Soda as these drinks will further dehydrate your body.



10)- Consume lot of fruits that are high in water content like Watermelon , orange , Sweet limes and Kiwi.









                       Home remedies


  • Applying Aloevera gel before getting outdoor helps to prevent sunburn . Aloevera act as a soothing agent and a natural sunscreen for the skin and reduces the effect of sunburn.




  • Take some Rosewater and add few drops of Lemon Juice . Apply this mixture on your tanned part(face , Neck, Arms)  and leave it overnight and then wash it next morning . This will help to lighten the tanned part of your skin.




  • You can apply the slices of Cucumber , Tomato and Potato on the tanned part of your skin.



  • Take some Vinegar and mix it with water in equal amount in a spray bottle and spray this mixture directly on your skin . It will help to reduce the sunburn and prevent you further.



  • You can also apply Coconut oil on the Tanned area of your skin.





  • Mix 1 cup of water and 20 to 25 drops of levandar oil and use to bathe the sun burned area , or apply the solution with a spray. 



  • Mix Rose water in Sandalwood powder and make a paste of it . Apply this pate on your face and let it dry and then wash your face . This will give your a fair skin and reduce sunburn.
